February 2021 Newsletter

Introducing increased view limits, interaction webhooks, new conditional logic matches, navigation controls, and more!

Happy February ❤️ Welcome to the monthly newsletter!

New Features

Increased View Limits

For our Core and Enterprise customers, we’ve increased the monthly View limits to allow you to share your interactive videos more broadly without fear that you are bumping against your plan limits. Mindstamp will now track up to 5,000 views per month for our Starter customers, 100,000 views per month for our Core customers, and 600,000 views per month for our Enterprise customers.

While these are subject to acceptable use caps on total minutes streamed for videos we host on your behalf, if you are self-hosting videos on Vimeo, Wistia, Kaltura or JWPlayer there is no limit to the length of the videos you can deliver within those limits. We also offer a discount for self-hosting your videos - contact us to learn more!

New Conditional Logic Matching

On the back of our announcement of Conditional Logic in the January newsletter, we’ve now enhanced this Enterprise feature with the ability to match (or not match) against multiple values as well as the ability to do greater / less than comparisons with number variables.

So you can now set a single interaction in Mindstamp to only show if your viewer:
- Clicked on a specific button or hotspot previously presented in the video
- Explicitly did or did not see a specific section of the video
- Answered a question in one of any number of ways
- Chose to interact with an image or text
- Launched the video with a specific tag or data point based on your website or CRM integration

With multiple match logic, you now have a powerful tool to guide the viewer experience and present the most relevant interactions at the best possible time to drive the next action from your viewers.

Interaction Webhooks

We’ve supported Webhooks triggered on the completion of an individual View on our Core and Enterprise Plans for many months now. We’re excited to launch Interaction-level Webhooks as well for our Enterprise customers.

You can get notified almost immediately on the details of any specific interaction your viewer took, including:

  • If they clicked a button or hotspotInteractions with text or images
  • Their answer to a specific question
  • Show or hide interactions based on a variable set when they reach a certain point in the video

All Interaction Webhooks will include the Viewer Name and Viewer Email if you have them such that you can use that to update current records in your CRM platform or create new leads.

With Zapier, this Interaction Webhook opens an entire ecosystem of integration possibilities to drive your business workflows based on interactive video.

Navigation Controls

Just in case you missed the blog post on this, we’ve added a new core interaction element to Mindstamp called ‘Add Navigation’. With this you can drop in a Change Time, Pause, Switch Video, or Set a Variable event automatically to seamlessly augment the viewer experience. This makes it easy to:

  • Create a looping feature where viewers must select some action to move on in your video
  • Jump a viewer to the next video in your series automatically without them having to make a decision or take an action
  • Restart a key part of the video to reinforce a topic or element
  • Show or hide interactions based on a variable set when they reach a certain point in the video

And of course Navigation Controls honor conditional logic, so you can make these navigation elements dynamic based on what the viewer has previously done in your video!

New Daily Email Format

We simplified the daily email you receive with your View Reports to make it more readable and actionable. You can quickly view who watched what video, their interaction count, percentage watched, and score if it exists. You can also click the "View" button now to directly open the full report.
